Teaser Tuesdays – 11/11

Posted by shelburns on November 11, 2008

TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:

  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
  • Please avoid spoilers!
  • This week my teaser comes from The Diamond of Darkhold by Jeanne DuPrau.  This is the fourth Book of Ember, and I’m so excited to be reading this as it will bring closure to the series for me.

“Trogg seemed to think that he knew everything, but strangely enough, it was exactly this that made him seem stupid to Doon.  A person who thought he knew everything simply didn’t understand how much there was to know.” (p. 120, Diamond of Darkhold, Jeanne DuPrau)

Not the best “teaser,” but hey, when you say let the book fall open to any random page, you get what you get!  I hope that at least maybe this sparks your interest about this series.  It really is a good one.  Check it out!
